about

It's funny because I feel like every song has a story behind it. Season of the Witch was my "breakout" into the music scene marketing myself as a solo artist, The Baron was my personal bout with my alcoholism, and Distant Sirens is now being published during the COVID-19 pandemic. I could go into the grit and talk about how I was stiffed by three different artists, or how money was stolen from me, or that I even found a fantastic edition to the SOS team, but honestly, I'd rather spare the details of my stressors.

Distant Sirens is a song ultimately about accepting your fate and answering to your destiny. Accepting who you were meant to be, and what role you're meant to play in this grand game of "life". In this story, the servicemember was voluntold to answer his call of duty and he pays the ultimate sacrifice for it. This into myself is relatable through life experience and realistically may not be relatable to the general public, but that to me doesn't matter. What matters is that the metaphorical message still stands. There's forces at work that we can't control, so we control what we can.

lyrics

Go
And
Save yourself
No
Where
To lie out
I
Can
See the lie alone

Tell me to go
Tell me to go and I'll
Stay alone
Until we all go and it's
All I own
All I own
All I own
All I own

And it's so far that they will take it all
We're crawling because we are so small
So close your eyes and embrace the fall
Because we're calling to the night

Today
Send them all
Call them in
Torment
Until they're all torn up and
Send them all to their
Send them all to their
To
Their
Graves

Tell me to go
Tell me to go and I'll
Stay alone
Until we all go and it's
All I own
All I own
All I own
All I own

And it's so far that they will take it all
We're crawling because we are so small
So close your eyes and embrace the fall
Because we're calling to the night

The twilight is calling me
I am going to risk it all
The Forces are controlling me
I can feel it coming on

(Risk it all)
(All)
(Risk it all)
I can feel it coming on
