A lot went into this song. From recording in my car sweating my ass off into my laptop, from finding a studio willing to record metal at midnight and almost having a shooting right outside it's doors. To get this song completed was almost a trial. Which ironically actually plays into the kind of "life trial" we go through whenever we face our demons. "The Baron" is about overcoming that addiction you have. whether it be drugs, alcohol, food, sex, whatever it is, it's a confession. The graphic is an allegory to the message of the song. On the King's head, the crown reads "my truth is to lie" and the bottle reads "medicine". We think self medicating is a way of healing and the harsh truth is that it isn't. Plain and simple. So come to terms with yourself, sing along to this track, and face your shortcomings as this song is meant for you to belt out to and sing your pain out to the universe so you can heal.
