After Haunted Mistress, I had a hell of a lot going on. It was hot in the middle of the pandemic, I was approaching the end of my deployment (and military career) in Africa, and I had to find a job. I moved across the country, started a new job, got a girlfriend, and then suffered an extremely debilitating back injury. As this is all going on I was still a part of three other music projects, two that I sang for, one that I played keys in, and became very well acquainted with the US healthcare scam- I mean system. Anyway, all those other projects ended up fizzling out so it was back to SoS. But because I was in so much pain I couldn't sing, I couldn't write, all I could do was try my best to heal. And in my effort to heal I was presented with a choice. A couple choices. And I couldn't help but think well what if they're the wrong ones? What if Murphy is waiting around every corner to prove his law to me? No matter what, the bottom line remained. I had to make a decision. We have to make choices and you'll always have a mix of good and bad consequences so the faster you take the plunge, the better. Just know that whatever you choose, it will inevitably be a Long Way Down.
